Five On-Site City Parks
• W.B.Finney Park at Glen Oaks. A 13+ acre park with two soccer practice fields, two playgrounds, one multipurpose court, and room for expansion.
• Falcon Creek Park: an 11+ acre park which includes a walking trail, two soccer fields, one softball field, two playgrounds, and a picnic pavilion overlooking a small lake.
• Gabe Nesbitt Park: A 150 acre park currently offering three baseball fields and five softball fields. The park's master plan is expected to include soccer fields, tennis courts, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and connecting hike-and-bike trails.
• Tom Allen, Jr. Park: A 6 acre park with picnic pavilion and playing fields.
• Carey Cox Memorial Park: An 11+ acre park which includes a level turf area for practice team sports, play features for both 2-5 year olds and 5-12 year olds, a shelter, climbing boulders, swings, and jogging path. The park will house the administrative offices of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space staff.
Also, in the making, is a first-ever Doggie Splash Pad and a state-of-the-art Skate Park. Stay tuned for updates on these as their expected completion is April 2013.
